My Quest to a Healthier Me!!!

Hello Beautiful!

Just like a lot of people Im becoming more aware of what Im eating and my weight. Im not a big girl but I randomly weighed myself last week I saw a number I have never seen in my life! ouch! Now Im totally not being dramatic and girly I legit freaked out! Since that moment pop (or soda to my american followers) has been cut from everyday and I have to say its been hard. I used to drink pop at least 4 or 5 times a week and to top it off it was diet the worst of the worst! I was also guilty of the drive thru! My schedule leaves me coming home late at night when I dont want to make anything and I dont make time to prepare food earlier in the day, drive thru it is. I have dropped my drive thru visits more than in half and I do miss it I must admit. Lately Ive been eating more eoften instead of one or two bigger meals and my food choices are more healthy than Ive ever eaten. One thing Im having trouble with is variety. I find that Im eating the same thing over and over again. I am doing some new research to expand my food horizon lol Ive started Turbo Jam (again) and when I was doing it before I really did see amazing results so I figured instead of spending money on an expensive gym membership I would try this first! So far it feels great! I hope I start seeing results! Ill keep you posted on that!

What do you do to eat healthy or exercise? Im looking for new food ideas!!! Help!!!

Sally Hansen Salon Effects Vs. Revlon Nail Art!

I think its clear from past blogs that Im in LOVE with Sally Hansen Salon Effects! They are the BEST! Seriously! So easy, fast, and long lasting (with the help of a top coat) I have noticed lately that there hasnt been many new designs coming out and saw these really bad ass looking Revlon Nail Art stickers (pictured below) So I thought I would give them a try! Why not?

One of the major differences between the two is Salon Effects are nail polish strips while Revlon Nail Art are just stickers. I always use a top coat to seal the stickers on my nails and when I tried to do this with the Revlon stickers it got all bumpy it was almost like the top coat was eating away at the sticker. Within hours the Revlon stickers were peeling back from my nails. I wore them for a few days only and it got worse and worse (pictured below) While  Revlon Nail Art has some really cool designs and 3D like designs, removal is really easy with Revlon Nail Art they just peel away but they just dont stay on…at all.  I quickly changed my nail stickers back to Sally Hansen and stumbled up on a design I had not yet used. Nails of the Week!

I was recently in the US and decided to see what new Sally Hansen Salon Effects they had (US always get the new designs before Canada) I wondered into a Rite Aid not only did I find the CUTEST new designs they were HALF PRiCE!!! AMAZiNG! So here are my nails of the week! Sally Hansen Salon Effects in On The Dot!

Has anyone else tried these??? I fell in love! I bought two 😉 *helpful tip ALWAYS put on a top coat, it makes them stay on longer! I use Sally Hansen Mega Shine!

Its a 10!

Ive recently started using its a 10 leave in conditioner. Being a blonde and having keratin bonded (fusion) extensions its a must to keep my hair healthy and shiny! Ive only used it a couple times but I am so far impressed. It smells great. So far it has not left a film on my hair like some products have. I blow dry, straighten, and curl my so its a 10 is great as it acts as a thermal protector.

Some natural ingredients are:

Panthenol – a highly effective strengthener

Sunflower Seed Extract – natural sunscreen that guards against color fading and/or brassiness

Green Tea Leaf Extract – shields hair from environmental damage with powerful antioxidants

Silk Amino Acids – restores natural moisture balance while adding strength and shine

Citric Acid (Vitamin C) – a powerful antioxidant that defends hair’s natural strength and beauty

I know a lot of hairdressers that swear by this! And so fair Ill give it a 10! get it? lol ya Im not real funny 🙂 So far so good and Ill continue to use this great beauty find!

50 Followers!!!

I started this blog venture awhile back and kind of abandoned it 😦 then missed it and here I am! I love blogging and reading other blogs from ladies obsessed with the same things I am. Technology is an amazing thing! Im soooo excited that I now have 50 followers. This is a big deal for me lol thanks to everyone who like to read my rambles and reviews and what not! It may seem silly to be so excited about 50 followers but it means the world me, it really does! I also get excited very easily lol I think when I get 100 followers I will have to do a major giveaway as a thanks to all my great followers!

Purple Shampoo?

Yes, purple shampoo! This is one of my MUST MUST MUST haves! I have always been a bleach blonde lover and purple shampoo is the best thing to remove that nasty yellow and brassy colour. Ive tried a of bunch of purple shampoo and there is only one that I continue to use and LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!

Shimmering Lights purple shampoo is my all time favourite. I found a lot of purple shampoos Ive tried dont do much, but shimmering lights is a miracle! This completely strips all yellow and nasty tones blonde hair can have.

You can get this at Sally Beauty Supply and other beauty supply retailers and it goes for around $11-$13 depending on where you go. I should warn you if you have bleach blonde like white blonde dont leave this product on for too long it will leave your hair with a purple/grey tone (I kinda like that look but lol ya) One of my favourites. Its a lot stronger than most purple shampoos. I havent tried their conditioner yet, if you have let me know what its like!
